Now not everyone can afford a 2 ct. diamond (nor does every woman even want such a showy ring), but you should take care to choose a ring that is beautiful and that fits her style. Don?t just automatically buy a diamond solitaire. There are many more interesting and unique ring designs available, some of which (like a diamond halo) will enhance the appearance of a more modest center diamond. If you do not feel confident in selecting a unique ring by yourself, by all means get help from your girlfriend?s best friend.
Don?t Be Upset If She Becomes Obsessed With the Wedding. Once you do finally pop the question, your fiancee will move into full wedding planning mode. It may seem to you like all she does is talk about the wedding, and that might well be true. You might even worry that your fiancee is more interested in the wedding than she is in you. That also might be a valid concern, but fear not, because it is a temporary situation. Try not to take it personally if your fiancee spends an inordinate amount of time on wedding planning to the point where you feel a bit neglected. Soon enough the wedding day will be in the past, and you will have her back again, this time as your wife.
